Well, the hatches are battened down, pool/patio furniture put away, loose items secured...time for a Tropical Storm Hanna RV party!
Just sat down in the family room with the big screen playing music videos randomly...first one up, Joe Nichols with "Size Matters", then Green Day with "Wake Me Up When September Ends"...is somebody trying to tell me something??? :h
Was down in your area visiting Grand Children, some rain but no big deal. You closed too soon, could have had 2 more weeks.

I got a new piece of hardware and mobile internet provider recently from AutoNet Mobile...jury still out on how much better it is than my T-Mobile internet service. So far, the install was simple and connecting was too, speeds are adequate, maybe twice as good as my best T-Mobile speeds...400-500 kbps download speeds and 75-115 kbps upload speeds thru Verizon wireless network here at the Jersey Shore currently...the cellular network provider will change as you move from place to place, how well and how often to be determined.
Connectivity and speeds are my main concerns, till I hit the road again I won't know for sure if it's better or worse than what I had.
I'll keep everyone posted. Rally soon!
Looks good, please let us know the results and coverage. Is there a limit on usage?? DIdn't see one in my quick browse of site.

They won the GOLD - 2 in a row, first time ever 2 consecutive Golds by a team.

Motorhome trip tomorrow but only for awning replacement estimates...everyone wants to see it before quoting...looks like the entire assembly replacement will be around $2,000, insurance picking up over $1,000 deductible...not a fun trip! :M
Poolside now after a paying service call to Parsippany NJ and back...bowling tonite!
The pheasant has been MIA today, not sure if she moved on or has there been a hit on her?
Gerry, I have disassembled and reassembled my awning on my old camper a couple of times. Replaced fabric, took apart spring mechanism and lubed, etc, You can buy just the tube and replace yourself if you have that disposition. It would probably be around 300 or 400 (guessing) for that part. The hardest part is reloading the spring, a pair of lock jaw pliers and a little care.

I see I am late in responding based on the number of posts. Mike did a great job on hosting and it was great seeing and cavorting with the entire crew. We are sorry we have plans for the Fall rally time, but I know it will be fun for all who attend. After hearing about the parade and costumes Liz ALWAYS wins with, I am going to try and make 2009 if it happens to be in on the "scene". It was wonderful being with such a great group and Karen and I are looking forward to our next adventure together. Wander on !!!!

Hi Mike, saw the thing about Gerry and spare ribs, that was me, I thought I would change since the Hollister campers mentioned bringing chicken wings and we know Gerry is the Turkey.So unless OTW informed that people do not like country style spare ribs, I will be doing the tender spare ribs / boneless.

Gerry.. I am going to do my shopping morning, since i have to have the truck in at 8am at the garage, so can get the turkey for you... let me call at the local super and they might have them too... so I can pick up anything ... I plan on being at the campground by noon...You talking about Friday here on truck service or tomorrow? I don't want you to have to get a turkey Monday and store it. I can't see why I can't find a bird down here...worse comes to worse, we get one Thurs/Fri up there and let it thaw for Saturday.
I can check here, if frozen is OK the local discount store may have turkeys about 12 lbs. I see someone else is brining chicken so I will change to spare ribs, stewed, very tender. Been away, board had a busy weekend.

Sounds great to me. I am very envious. If you get to Mt Rushmore, plan on spending more time visiting Crasy Horse.
GeorgeI've been there over years ago, did they ever finish Crazy Horse?? The muir woods in San Francisco area, over the Golden gate and North is nice - where Ewok adventure was filmed.
Keep traveling, P.S. Hearst Castle tours are great if you like that stuff.

Once in a blue moon I have a problem getting the rv site to work. Then I use trailer life.

Hi all, Sounds like things are getting going, Gerry is doing Turkey, Jello shots are coming, we would like to bring a dish or whatever, how about stewed chicken parts in barbecue sauces. Slow cooked in a cast iron pan on the grill. If that doesn't peek your intererst then a salad, fruit or whatever works would be fine. Would this be for Saturday night ? I never tried all those other portals for RV.Net, it works almost all the time for me. Occasionally a little slow, but it works. Good to know there are other ways.

Jay, Just a word of advice, you can get a national park pass and if you do a couple it saves you quite a bit. I was on a tour there but someone told me about it. It can be purchased at any of the park entries.

Congratulations !!!! If you can make time, there is an old Pueblo village at the end of town which is one of the oldest around, interesting to see, Also there is a church that has a full size picture of Christ that changes in the dark and shows a luminescent cross if I remember correctly but there is no explanation why. Things to see and won't take much time.
